Julian Perkins is an established soloist, chamber musician and music director who plays regularly with leading ensembles including concerto appearances with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and The Sixteen. He is the founder-director of the period instrument group Sounds Baroque.

Julian Perkins is increasingly in demand as an opera conductor. He has conducted staged productions at the Buxton Festival and for New Chamber Opera, New Kent Opera and the Cambridge Summer Music Festival. His commitments for 2012 including conducting Mozart's La finta giardiniera for the Dutch National Opera Academy.
