With a repertoire ranging from the English virginalists through to the present day, Julian Perkins performs widely as a soloist. He has performed concertos with many ensembles including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, The Sixteen and his own group, Sounds Baroque. Solo recitals have included appearances at the St Albans International Organ Festival, Buxton Festival, Cambridge Early Music, St John's, Smith Square and the International Clavichord Symposium in Magnano, Italy.

Harpsichord solos in programmes with Sounds Baroque have included performances for music societies throughout the UK, at London's Southbank Centre and at international festivals in Cheltenham, London, Montpellier, Tel Aviv and York.

As a chamber musician, Julian often performs with many of the UK's leading period instrument ensembles, gives duo recitals and is a tutor for the Southbank Sinfonia. He has also taught at the Royal Academy of Music in London and acted as a guest teacher at the conservatories in Amsterdam and The Hague.
